"Negro Crabs"...

Stanley Crouch is an incisive writer, but as with any good author, or any great musician, being human...they tend to play off key every once and awhile. This is the case with Crouch's recent submission " The beloved joys of a falsehood: What 'Roots' tell us about the American love of myth" featured in the New York Daily News, May 2, 2011.

In his article he criticizes the success of Alex Haley's "Autobiography of Malcolm X" and the subsequent television series "Roots." This propelled  Haley to fame and fortune, but Haley wound up in debt at the time of his death...he just couldn't regain his "writer's muse" and thus, other attempted projects just didn't succeed. Crouch compares the work of Haley to that done by Marable Manning on Malcolm X, whereby he more or less calls Haley's works buffonery compared to that of Manning's.

This is somewhat similar to Spike Lee's reference to Tyler Perry's work of whom I think are both outstanding black talents in this white dominated world of entertainment. I take into consideration the results of both Spike and Tyler and say continue to do your best at that which is pragmatically productive in a characteristically, for the most part, prejudicial society.

Back to Stanley Crouch, who has referred to himself as being proud of the term Negro associated with his heritage and referred to Mr. Elijah Muhammad's movement as a cult, not to be associated with Louis Farrakhan's movement which is in fact no more than a self-evolved cult, with Farrakhan taking authority of the sheep. Nevertheless, I believe I can speak with greater authority on being a Negro, for I believe I'm a few years older than Crouch, also about Mr. Muhammad's movement being a cult, being one of his representatives, and lastly about the death of Malcolm X, whom I researched and found him to be no more than a self-aggrandizing traitor who has been canonized a black martyr by Negroes like Crouch. 

I close by saying that I found Mr. Muhammad's movement to be a pragmatic system to assist black people in developing their own path to economic liberty; whereas, his movement was no more a cult than that of Catholicism, Protestantism, Judaism, Hinduism, or any other "ism" vying for the minds and souls of mankind. 

Should the Administration??

I say yes, for those who have an insatiable desire of the macabre...but at a price.  Turn the photos over to the Library of Congress, to be copyrighted and/or trademarked as necessary, compliments of the USN. Thus, the public can have access at an appreciable price, and any unauthorized duplication be hit with copyright infringement. You want more capitalism...pay for it. 

FEMA Defends No More Help Over Texas Wildfires...May 4, 2011

"The Federal Emergency Management Agency defended its decision to refuse more assistance for Texas in the wake of devastating wildfires, saying Wednesday that the state has already received sufficient U.S. government help.

Late Tuesday, Gov. Rick Perry criticized the White House after learning that his April 16 request for a federal major disaster declaration and additional help had been rejected.

The federal government has already provided Texas with grants for response activities. FEMA spokeswoman Rachel Racusen told The Associated Press in a statement."

"FEMA has been in close contact with the state since the fires occurred, and based on the information they provided. It was determined that there was not a need for additional support at this time." Racusen said, "Over the past few months, FEMA has awarded over 20 fire management grants to the state, which provide targeted funding to help with firefighting efforts, including 16 in April alone."

I am and will continue to say that Sarah is one "hot momma"... grizzlies and pit bulls notwithstanding...leader of the toughest nation in the western hemisphere? No where near.

Her nature just exudes sexiness, and would make an ideal calendar or pin-up poster, or possibly a "Playboy" centerfold...leader of the strongest nation in the western hemisphere? I think not.

She is pretty, a woman that would make any man excited about having her as a sleep in guest, but the decision maker when it comes to the nation's life and death situations?  No where close.

She peppers and perplexes her audiences with innuendos, such as the President having no "cojones" or "pussy-footing" with the Bin Laden death pics...but could she ever exhibit "balls" like the President has displayed?  Not now or ever.

Mark (nosey gnome) Levin is the "ne'er do well" critic of the President, who says he doesn't think the President was "gutsy enough" in the Bin Laden kill. He goes on to say he knows "gutsy" and the President ain't it.

This comes from a man who chooses to sling barbs from an underground bunker, far from access by the general public. However, I assume that he feels his right wing mentor, "Granny Panty Limabutt" symbolizes gutsy in his assessment of character.

Nevertheless, we both agree, although diametrically opposed in political and philosophical outlook...Sarah is "one hot momma." 

Even Fox News saw his being a liability and dumped his dumb behind. He is just one of many coming from the carnival of white racists, preceded by the likes of David Duke, the KKK's political prima donna. To show his (Duke's) depth of intelligence, he tried to establish the "NAAWP", the National Association for the Advancement of White People. I think some sheet wearin' hood rat said all you've done is designated us as the "Association of White Trash" by copying a black organization.

The latest "clarabell" to come down the racist pike is none other than "Chump Trump". Interesting to see what kind of circus following he will generate to besmirch the dignity of the Republican Party...providing there's any dignity left, with "Bozo Steele" out and Granny Panty claiming to be its new juggernaut.

The Bureaucracy will defeat Obama...not that he's a good man, but poor logistical engineer...at least in politics. As warned in 2010, his speeches would not be enough to rally victories for his Democratic office holders and true to form, he and his party received the proverbial "shellacking".

This time what the American voters see is too much cronyism in increasing the size of bureacracy with political supporters, including unions getting comfortable well-paying jobs with benefit packages, which increased bureaucratic spending for ever-costly entitlements here and abroad.

There is also the abundance of profits for corporate dinosaurs on Wall Street at the expense of taxpayers on main street, who are losing their small grip of economic support in securing an income from small businesses, that can't get so much as a peep from these financial hi-jackers. I know because I'm one of them (small business owner) and up to my "keester" in trying to even get a return telephone call to my business's inability to hire ex-offenders, ones who need a fresh start more than any other. It appears that the average unemployed, non-ex offender has had the desire to seek a living all but sucked out of 'em.

Along comes Ron Paul saying he will slash this crony-packed(Democratic and Republican) bureaucracy, along with the crony entitlements used to keep these political junkies in office, as well as seeing these crony-controlled unions and corporations getting nary a nickel in the future. These logistical factors add up to a siren's song of success for President Ron Paul come 2012.

"Only weeks after losing a battle in Mississippi to honor Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, with a commemorative license plate, the Sons of of Confederate Veterans has sloughed off thay defeat. It is now demanding tags that glorify the Rebel flag in Florida, Kentucky and Texas.

SCV lost an embarrassing, late February battle in Mississippi when Governor Haley Barbour, then eying a possible presidential campaign, reluctantly declined to suppport the commemorative plate. Since then, the Columbia, Tennessee-based group has positioned its troops for pivotal skirmishes to force their flag's imprint on plates in other states."

Publishers Note: The Tea-Party launched its bid in Tennessee to become a national entity not only in concert to overthrow President Obama with "birtherism" but also in sympathy with the southern confederates to destroy the United States of America.

If this guy is not the proverbial whiner, then Solomon Burke never sang "Cry to me." Frankly he's the whiniest right wing talk jerk on radio and TV...probably to be shown the door like his next door neighbor...Glenn Beck. His whole monologue seems to be about things that are done and in the past...as he moans on and on as to how the President should have taken down Bin Laden...get a real job, loser.

I remember shortly after the President's inauguration, he dared the President to debate him on his show. Now, why would the President who has beaten his opponents soundly, take time to have a "sit down" with the likes of this loser? If "Whiney" is so dynamic as he wants his deadhead dimwits to think, why doesn't he throw his hat in the arena for the 2012 election? That won't happen, because like his "Uncle Nosey-Gnome Levin" who claims he's too old and sickly to take on the challenge..."Whiney-Hiney" ain't about to leave his "comfy get-over" without whimpering.  "Cry, Cry, Baby...welcome back home."

Sean Hannity vs "Common"

I get so sick of these right wingers spurred on by the likes of Hannity and Drudge who seek any topic they can to make something out of nothing, like when the President didn't go to a church on a Sunday, then when he did go to a church on a Sunday. In the eyes of these  wormy right wingers, I say "wormy" because they won't come out and really say what they and most right wingers are thinking, like the redneck racist David Duke...they simply seize on anything to bring this charismatic black man down.

Of course, I referred to what "Johnny" would do and now I would say Mr. President, respond with a page from the well known university of rap art..."FU". If Hannity and Drudge are so concerned with whom the President has on his guest list...then throw their cowardly hats in the ring and receive a "royal ass-whupping."

As I referred to this city being governed by incompetents, here's the most recent evidence, as documented in an article from the Mobile Press Register, May 10, 2011, by Jillian Kramer:  Prichard City Council meeting on possible pension agreement canceled

" A special Prichard City Council meeting called tonight to discuss a proposed agreement between the city and its pensioners has been canceled, according to a city spokesperson.  The meeting was scheduled for 5:30 at Prichard's municipal complex. Spokeswoman Latoya Veal said the meeting was canceled because two of the council members could not make the meeting."
