Davis Avenue before MLK, Jr
Ex-Offenders
This street was the main thoroughfare in the community that I grew up. It is also a picture on the cover of the first book I published successfully circulating across America to all of those who are familiar with the community in Mobile, AL. The book is entitled "Avenue...The Davis Avenue Story, 1799-1986 and is available on Amazon.com in a Kindle format. You can sample the book by downloading the Kindle Whispersync to your PC.
In this picture is a now demolished structure next to the white building with the canopy (formerly the Lincoln Theatre) that was the old Bon-Ton Pool Hall. I hung out there in my teen years with some of my street buddies and learned a lot about life in "the hood". There seem to be mostly the dregs of society...pimps, pushers, hustlers, winos, and ex cons with nothing to do and nothing to look forward to other than going back to the slammer for some reason or another.
A wino shared with me one of the most important pieces of wisdom to get on the straight and narrow and stay there. He said while pointing out the sundry gathering, that the true street wise and smartest player is the one who can beat the streets and make something of his life. Turns out this guy was a math wizard and numbers runner, who got hooked on drugs and eventually became the neighborhood wino. I asked him what happened? He said when he was younger, and doing well in school, he felt he was smart enough to do better by dropping out and running numbers...plenty of money, nice ride, pretty women and today as my grandmother might say...winding up with not even a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.
Today, I have developed an online training program to assist ex-offenders in getting back into life. It consists of my training them through the facilities of the local educational institutions, and then they go out and present the program to various churches, as many as they can get to. I see the churches as the ideal outlet to help in most cases, young people to get on some straight and narrow path toward some success in the remainder of their lives...avoiding the trap of which "Brother Wino" died a few years after his sharing that bit of advice with me.
As I told the Chief Probation Officer for the USDOJ, I am not trying to convert any one, but as a pragmatic businessman, the churches still offer a prime network for communication in most communities across America.
Tail Wagging the Dog...
The Republican Party...may the "farce" be with them
It's interesting to note that supposedly the so-called "movers and shakers" from the right are too timid to dip even their little toe into what may appear to be a watery grave in taking on Obama.
That's including your right wing talk show jerks, claiming to be holding out for a "true right wing conservative" with David Duke as the only one that comes close to filling that wish.
However, they don't want to go that far because their "true colors" will come shining through..."rebel flag red and nazi swastika black."

The Bishop State Workshop...A Success!!
Bishop State Community College, Mobile, AL
INFOBUCK.COM has worked with Bishop State Community College to establish an online training program in healthcare technology for ex-offenders. The ex-offenders were able to pursue a career in the field as consultants working primarily with churches. They have the opportunity to advance as marketing representatives working with other ex-offenders throughout the state.
The initial workshop was held at the Baker-Gaines Campus, Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 9:00am till 12:00noon.
Reducing Unemployment Among Young Black Males
If anyone signs on to the online training program offered by INFOBUCK.COM throughout the US, they will be virtually assured of an income by means of a tried and true program of self-determination. In other words, the individual just has to apply the rudimentary steps offered by the program as well as maintain its ethical, disciplinary training toward personal success. Don't doubt...just try. You can sign on at http://infobuck.com
Working with Spring Hill College
Bobby Buck, owner of INFOBUCK.COM, and an alum of Spring Hill College, has made contact with Dr. Alex Landi (featured in the photo below), one of his former professors, in the promotion of the Second Chance Act for ex-offenders via grant subsidies. The process is in discussion at this time, which will serve to benefit not only the ex-offenders, but Spring Hill College, as well as Mobile's community at large by improving healthcare with vital information services.
