A Comedy of Errors
The photo below shows a young man running across the baseball field with a Mexican flag to protest the immigration issue. The photo brought immediate laughter, as if viewing some sort of sketch from the "Three Stooges", in this case two stooges. The issue although comically illustrated by this photo would be a lot funnier, if not so serious when the lives of millions hang in the balance as well as the security of our nation.
My first piece of advice to my Latino brother would be...this is not how you get it done. You cannot continue to wave the bravado of your Mexican heritage in the face of America and expect to be welcomed with open arms. This is the same as waving a red flag in the face of a raging bull...which means you better keep running in order to save your "keesta."
Secondly, as I agreed with our Senator Jim Webb on the issue of Affirmative Action getting away from its original intention of providing justice to the descendants of slaves, specifically, as opposed to minorities in general, the same applies to our immediate neighbor to the south...Mexico, and no farther south than Mexico...not Central or South America. As the descendant of a slave must prove his authenticity as such, Mexicans and only Mexican descendants should be able to establish their identity for purposes of immigration in this country.
President Obama and his team are trying to bring about a reasonable solution, but in one of my previous articles somewhere back in the pages entitled "Back to Basics," on Affirmative Action, some firm guidelines have to be established and I'm sure everyone will not be satisfied. If you are from anywhere south of Mexico, that means you illegally crossed their borders in order to illegally enter the US.
I regret the situations of poverty, drug killings, and criminal corruption, but these are domestic issues that have to be resolved in those countries...which means Mexico has to get a handle on these criminals if intruding into its country as opposed to simply saying the US is aiding and abetting the sale of weapons and the purchase of drugs...we know that already and trying to do something about it. It also means we should crack down hard on those employers who hire illegally to set an example.
Therefore, if you are Mexican, as a black might be the descendant of a slave, you get priority in resolving your immigration issue...all others should return to their native land south of the Mexican border until we can get to you and that includes families. This means you will have to legally re-enter Mexico before being legally considered for immigration to the US ...regretfully as this may be.
Education and Immigration
From the book "How One Becomes Wealthy..."
"I even got into the teaching profession while doing some graduate work. The kids, especially the little black kids were 'crying' out for caring, supportive leadership in the predominantly white and Hispanic schools. Another black co-worker and I eventually established a weekend tutoring class on Saturdays where all the students were invited to attend. Naturally, we could not just do this for the blacks and as it began, students from all races represented were in the initial class. They all had one thing in common...poverty. The weekend initiative was dubbed G.I.T. standing for Get It Together. We taught math only, from the basics of counting from one to ten to the early stages of algebra. We stressed the practical use of math in their everyday lives and they lapped it up like water to a man in the desert. Of course, there were personal problems that they were having at home, some very common and others very unique because everyone was an individual. Math was the only language that crossed all ethnic boundaries because it was not tinged by social nebula. Two times two is going to be four no matter who you are, where you are, or no matter what you ultimately decide to do. This is a constant you could bank your life on."

When women attempt to act as men...very unbecoming
Sarah Palin recently commented that the President doesn't have the "cojones" to deal with the immigration issue. Is this to say she does?
