"Big Ed"...Leaving Town??
From the Roanoke Times 3-23-11:
"Carilion Clinic CEO Dr. Ed Murphy is leaving to take a job with a New York equity firm, according to a source with knowledge of the development."
I feature the photo below of Dr. Edward Murphy, Ron Spellman, and myself as now a business trade photo which has given tremendous credibility to my start up in the Roanoke Valley back in 2006. That trade photo has been spotted in places around the globe, and the business has likewise established its ongoing credibility in some of those places internationally...thus, we're on the grow.
It also supports my thesis that I presented while working in the employ of Carilion Clinic where I met the two gentlemen in the photo..."The Dynamics of a Good Business Suggestion." The healthcare industry is first and foremost "big business" delivering medical services as its primary product.
Beyond "Big Ed" being a heavy weight in the medical profession, an MD from Harvard, he's shown himself to be quite the business strategist in propelling the once small hospital to heights they never considered or thought possible when he took the reins back in 2001.
This move to the equity firm in New York possibly means he can assist this institution in climbing even higher with a greater personal financial benefit, maybe not quite Warren Buffett style, but he'll definitely be in the clouds.
Hell Goes the Way of the Flat Earth Theory
The photo to the right is that of Rev. Chad Holtz and here's his story as written in the Mobile Press Register 3-24-11:
"Durham, NC--First Chad Holtz lost his belief in hell, then he lost his job as a United Methodist pastor at a church. Two days after he posted a Facebook note in defense of a megachurch pastor's new book questioning traditional notions of eternity, Holtz was dismissed. The book, "Love Wins," is by Rob Bell, pastor of the 10,000 member Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Bell's book criticizes the belief that a select number of Christians will spend eternity in heaven while everyone else is tormented forever in hell. The flap involving Holtz is a microcosm of a contentious debate in Christian circles over prominent Evangelical Rob Bell's criticism of the familiar notion that hell is a place of eternal damnation for billions of souls."
Chinless...Next to Go?
Below is a photo of the Syrian Leader..."Chinless"...not his name but his persona. Seriously, who really gives a damn about this Arab dictator and others like him, such as Quodaffy Duck? In this wave of uprising all around them, you would think they would all have enough sense to come to some sort of compromise to step down, turn over their stolen financial assets in American and European banks, and ask for a "safe haven" in the west. But, no..ooo, not these fools. Frankly, "Brainless" might be more appropo.
