Republican Ryan's Budget Approach...Common Sense or Corporate Compost?
The photo to the right below features Republican Congressmen Paul Ryan, left and Dave Camp extolling solutions to the nation's financial crisis. I have not read his entire proposal only scanned a few parcels, one in particular about getting people who are wealthy enough paying for their medicare services...common sense. The other is continuing corporate tax breaks and subsidies for the wealthy...compost.
You can read more of the post by Andrew Dodson at "mlive.com". "Rep. Dave Camp: 'Path to Prosperity' budget proposal shows Americans the reality of Washington's problems" (April 6, 2011)
This continuation of tax breaks and subsidies for the wealthy to shore up employment here in the US has proven to be no more than hog wash going back to the days of Ronald Reagan, of which Paul Ryan has been characterized in his image. I don't mean to continue to thrash an old "big blue" horse but tax breaks were so big for this computer firm that it offered to purchase tax credits from other corporations in order not to pay "Uncle Sam" his due. I chronicled this in my initial collegiate thesis entitled "The Individual vs The Corporation".
Corporations back during my time of starting my small business with a concept I submitted to IBM, had this nasty habit of trying to quash competition, individual start ups and all with backing by both Republican and Democratic polticians alike, but were eventually outsmarted by entrepreneurs such as Gates, Jobs, and hundreds more with the indomitable American spirit. So what happened to IBM? Its stock dropped to an all time low, it wound up downsizing, and was forced to become a new entity in the high tech profession...free enterprise at work. Therefore, cut out the tax breaks and subsidies for big corporations...they will either do or die, according to the rules of the free market.
Until politicians can come up with fair and meaningful common sense budget cuts to combat wasteful spending...it's just so much compost. This "medicare approach" offered by Ryan may be an acceptable beginning.
Religious Radicals should be rounded up for Provocation
Terry Jones, aka con man and jackleg preacher out of Florida, not to be confused with entrepreneur Jerry Jones out of Texas, should be rounded up and prosecuted by civil authorities, as should have been done for dangerous priests in lambs clothing, savaging young children like unchecked wolves, under those supposedly keeping an eye on them.
I strongly believe religiosity is at the root of mankind's problems across the globe; therefore, it's time for civil societies to apply some common sense when it comes to these radicals, despite their religious beliefs or customs; especially when their words and/or actions cause the loss of innocent lives. Frankly, I think a "just God" has damned these wild-eyed bastards, and will condemn the nation who allows them to continue in their self-aggrandizing destruction.
A Rebuttal to a Colleague...
Ed, Ed, Ed!!
I have never denied the existence of the "Supreme Being" while maintaining that there is a major difference between belief in God and religiosity...the bane of mankind.
So, let's get this clarified and confirmed...okay?
I have stated that a civil society should be able to round up those religionists whose provocations either by word or deed cause destruction of innocents...to avert this sort of damage. This goes for imams, preachers, rabbis, priests, monks, or whomever creates this sort of ill will in a civilized society.
Whereas, I consider atheists and/or paganism(which much of Christianity is based) as no more than ignorant fools, radical beliefs for the mere aggrandizement of puny power-hungry mortals.
Apparently, you have not followed my blogs closely enough to be so confused as you were, and hopefully not now, including where the President was born.
By the way, I will include your link on my BTW website...Sincerely.

The Vatican Library...
Morley Safer's piece on "60 Minutes" was a tour inside of the Vatican's Library...and very limited. I preference this submission with my concern about religiosity's creating much of mankind's problem either through hiding the truth, or misinterpreting it according to the belief system being promoted by that religion.
This is the case of Catholicism and its library. Safer did touch on Galileo's theory of the earth rotating around the sun, and Galileo's conviction as a heretic. The Vatican didn't come clean about Galileo until the 20th century. It has not come clean about the "Inquisition" nor has it revealed its participation in Hitler's genocide...of which the Jews have requested.
The piece goes on to reveal the time-consuming task of trying to salvage and restore much of the works...which I'm sure it's costly not only in time but money. Here's my suggestion to the Vatican...let "Google" come in and download all of the material, put it online, and get to the bottom of what appears to be mankind's greatest religious cover-up.
