"When Time Runs Out" and other pithy apps

It turns out that "when time runs out" is an empirical statement of actuality. How is it that time can run out, having no appendages? During the trial of Socrates in ancient Greece, a jug was filled with water with a spout at the bottom of which the water would run out. This was the amount of time Socrates had to make a defense plea; however, time or the water ran out and he was found guilty, and sentenced to death by means of hemlock, a painful death, but yet considered a civil way of exercising capital punishment.

Now, there are lessons to be learned from these great societies that existed for centuries as told in Biblical history, with all meeting their doom. Will we learn or make the same mistakes? Some of the reasons for their misfortune were plagues (no healthcare), wars of agression for purposes of expansion(unchecked capitalism), worshipping idol gods (actors, entertainers, sport & play), the break down of human civility as well as the inculcation of slavery, allowing the society to become mentally weak (lacking an ability to educate to compete with other nations) as well as moral decadence...it's your thing...do what you want.

Is time running out for our beleagured President, with only a half jug (two years) left to deliver this nation? Will it mean death to the possibility of second term? Again, Mr. President, you cannot save all, you have to sacrifice parts for the balance of the whole. Stop spending!! Cut Federal outgo!! Beef up Federal income by targeting off shore tax cheats!! Stop Federally subsidizing cottage industries, and reduce Federal bureacracies, starting with those in Republican-controlled districts. As the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans prayed to and worshipped their "Santas"...you are not one, so stop acting like it and make the grinch-like decisions necessary to save your office and the nation.

Beck's DC Cult Pales Against Farrakhan's 

These two cult leaders from diametrically opposed religious philosophies managed to get a bunch of individuals to assemble in the nation's Capitol...and for what? Just as nothing was accomplished in black communities when they returned from the Farrakhan mass meeting, I don't expect any significant change in the mostly white communities in America assembling in honor of Beck.

These self-appointed apostles or prophets, or whatever, have and will prove to be failures in their acclaimed connection with the God of the Universe...why? Just as Jesus Christ and Martin Luther King, Jr. were divinely unique in their will to knowingly sacrifice their mortality for the salvation of their brothers and sisters... these cult leaders will never, and I mean never, make such a sacrifice...thus, more of the long line in the shams of religiosity.

The only change we will see as a nation, will result when we take the responsibility to do what's necessary in our homes and backyards, by "casting down our buckets where we are"...and, there is none so less demanding than going to our local polls to VOTE!!

Until we are personally willing to carry out that freedom for which so many gave their lives, we can go back and forth to DC, ten times time ten, listen to all the self-aggrandizing cult leaders(preachers, priests, rabbis, imams, talk show jockeys...you select a title.) from east to west, north to south, for hours going into days and weeks, and we will not see one bit of improvement in this nation's destiny...and that you can be assured.

Tom Joyner's Query?

Tom Joyner asked on his morning show in a Roland Martin interview with RNC Chief Michael Steele..."What are the Republicans going to do for Black People"?? Here is where my disagreement again comes with Tom Joyner, when some time back as written in a previous article, he thought it was President Obama's obligation to show black people how to become more economically stable in American society. Well, that is not the role of the President when he's the President of the US and not just black communities in America.

Similarly, what Tom Joyner fails to realize as well as most weekly commentaries from Al Sharpton on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, is that it has passed the time for black people to get off of their knees and stop asking what others, including America's African-American President, to do for them that which they could have and should have been doing for themselves.

This was true when Booker T. Washington summoned black folks to "cast down your bucket where you are," when Marcus Garvey and Elijah Muhammad said respectively, "Up you mighty nation, accomplish what you will"!! and "Do for self"!! with his (Elijah's) caveat that "welfare" when eventually reversed would spell "fare well" which in essence translates into "the people without vision will perish."

Dr. King was blessed with the vision just before his martyrdom when saying, "we as a people will get to the promised land." Unfortunately, that will never happen without the burning desire to be truly free in mind, body, and spirit versus that to..."hedonistically party" away the "vision of freedom" of our forefathers from Frederick Douglass on down.

Lastly, this need to beg others to do for us that which we can and are obligated to do for ourselves is simply an embarrassment of a people that endured the atrocity of physical(beatings, torture, rape, and murder), mental (mandated ignorance), and spiritual (religious) slavery through these many centuries.

Limbaugh's "Suck-up Substitutes"

I know the premise behind pimps and prostitutes on the streets, and consider most of these women to be genuine in their effort to independently survive, in support of their family, or simply struggling to defeat that "monkey" on their backs by whatever means at their disposal. And some will say that they would rather do that than beg for welfare and government intrusion. I admire this latter the most being that I'm no fan of bureacrats that try to dictate morality with money as the carrot or otherwise destitution as the stick.

Let's look at what's behind this pimp/prostitute premise with Rush Limbaugh and his "suck-up substitutes." There are three with the name of Mark, one originally from England (I wonder if he's in on a proper work visa?), there was even Karl Rove, and of course his number one negro...and my all time economic hack...Walter E. Williams, DD (Doctorate of Dumbness) for even wanting to chime in with this infamous capitalist pig.

Now, if these "radio prostitutes" can't see Limbaugh for no more than what I've characterized, besides being an inbred scumbag racist, then their intelligence level is no higher than the mush-brain ditto heads suckered in to buying that phoney-baloney computer back-up system that will eventually be hacked, giving away all of your personal information from that identity protection program he's barking as well. What they obviously are unable to see, is that Limbaugh is gradually losing steam in delivering on that $400 million contract with his one-note, worn-out monologue in trying to undermine the President of the US.

The word to summarize his radio program and that of his pimped prostitutes is "sorry"...and far more immoral than the "ladies of the evening." I will gladly give my money to these ladies (I'm single and practice safe sex) before falling for the products and services offered by these radio religiosity con artists such as Beck...and after being pleasured, will feel as though I'm sitting at the right hand of God... so put that in your religious pipe and smoke it...you g/d hypocrites.

Brewer's Brain Freeze...typical of the T-Bag Syndrome

During a debate, Governor Brewer of Arizona was asked about the many allegedly beheaded bodies found strewn in her "backyard" which have yet to be substantiated, went into mental melt down.

This syndrome is known to appear in most "politicos" when trying to purport extremist positions to emotionally win over supporters of their cause...the more extreme, the better. This is generally the case for all whether it be fundamentalist religiosity or extreme politics from left or the right. It is essentially typical of all dis or malcontent in civil society...power hungry extremists that will go to any measure, up to and including blowing up buildings or themselves.

It is also found in cases of "conservative constitutionalists" who are basically extreme as long as the "Constitution" serves their way of thinking or governing. Heaven forbid when it provides rights to a Muslim religion to build a mosque on what they have declared as sacred ground, despite being surrounded by the sundry joints and dives...an ideal location to worship God?

The hypocrisy of these extremists (T-Bags, et al) is that the talk show jockeys who promote this sort of political extremism will never dare to sacrifice their luxury lifestyle to actually get into the pit to defend their take on constitutionality, but put pawns up to do their bidding such as Brewer, Palin, and the other T-Bags. I guess they are really afraid they will suffer the embarrassment exhibited by Brewer when trying to logically promote their positions, from this day forward known as "Brewer's Brain Freeze."
