It's always been about the money...
In my studies in theology, especially being raised a Catholic, the one unforgivable sin in Catholicism was "suicide", not infanticide, patricide, or even genocide...I wondered why? I came across this story that took place in New Orleans about a slave that committed suicide to escape his suffering. The slaveowners in conjunction with the Church would not bury him initially, but chose to hang his body in the public's view, to say that he had committed the unforgivable sin and a fearful warning to other slaves who may contemplate doing the same. This slave who boldly decided his fate, cost those slaveowners money...for he was not a "child of God" but a piece of property...money in the bank.
I just recently found out that one of the reasons for the institution of celibacy in Catholicism, was to insure that the ones entering the priesthood, generally from families of nobility, upon death, would have no one to leave their estates to other than the Church...a clever scheme.
History also shows, that the Church is one of the most flagrantly corrupt institutions in the belief system of Christianity...that eventually fostered Protestantism and the thousands upon thousands of sects and churches featuring con artists, jacklegs, predators, pedophiles, and power control over the unsuspecting. You see...it's always been about the money.
Not out of meanness, but necessity
The President in a speech, I believe given in Richmond, VA, made reference to America's economic situation being similar to the long history of slavery in America and the subsequent "freedom". Not a good comparison at all; for this comment sounds absurd when making such a comparison/contrast. So come out of that meandering fog and produce results within two years that show a meaningful economic effect to the middle class, or you will be a footnote in history...you don't have four hundred years to do it!!
Newsweek magazine ran a major article on Al Sharpton as being the "HNIC" in the black community. White folks doing it again...selecting who they want to see in charge. Al Sharpton to most intelligent black Americans is no more than a buffoon, who referred to himself as a leader in a responsible capacity, last week...leading whom?? Frankly, "Al B. Conked" who's still sporting that processed hairdo from the fifties is nothing but a throwback to misdirected Negroes, who felt as though attempted imitation of the white man in looks, and other such monkey-shines (monkey see, monkey do) activities such as golf, makes them feel as though they have arrived; when as a people in general and before the world, black Americans are so (as my grandmother would put it) broke, "we don't have a pot to piss in, or a window to throw it out of."
Again, if Barack thought with this "slave mentality" when he ran for office, he would have gone down in flames faster than...than...Jesse Jackson. Sr. proclaiming himself a religious mentor to Bill Clinton while getting an associate pregnant... because, he would have been just another dumb ass Negro not worthy of directing the destiny of any people, and that goes for "Al B. Conked." Nevertheless, leave it to the "devil" to continue to deceive and keep people in darkness. And, we have yet to figure out why we're not only considered "niggers" in America but throughout the globe?
Progressives vs Conservatives...Mr. President, you got be some of both to win it
Today, 10-2-10, the progressives held their DC march, whereas, the conservatives did so about three or four weeks ago. Both accomplished nothing, for they're both looking for the President to solve their domestic issues...which he can't by himself...you as individuals have to do that yourselves in your own communities, and not by collecting in DC with "voting power."
I suggest conservatism on fiscal issues, such as spending taxpayers' money like there's no bottom, be it welfare, healthcare, or warfare. Likewise, I suggest progressivism on social matters like getting rid of teachers' tenure based on outcome results; having unions to be more compliant in working with businesses, similar to a profit/share set up...CEO's and companies in conjunction with unions share in the profits, but take the hit if the company under performs or even has to shut down...with no more bailouts be it bank, auto, or housing, ending "golden parachutes." This is only one of many suggestions; possibly, the voters will come up with more of which you, Mr. President, had better take into consideration, or your next office to be held will be as one of the "unemployed". Just kidding...once Prez, always Prez until "TAPS"...just not in the White House.
The Continuing Saga of "Rev. Jackleg in GA"
Rev. Jackleg says he refuses to be drawn into a "street fight," of which no one has asked of him...to my knowledge. What has been requested is his making a public denial of the allegations, and if he is in fact the perpetrator as declared; he then should ask for forgiveness and pay whatever retribution demanded.
Short of this, he's a hypocrite that's in a moral fight while dragging his congregation into the gutter during the legal process. His congregation is so blinded by "man worship" that they can't be objective...just sheep, who apparently support this potential predator and his perverted religious indiscretions with their "sons".
If this ultimately turns out to be the case, then that demon's pit with all included should find itself in the hell of shame and disgrace with no resurrection for those claiming to be serving their openly declared saviour, Jesus Christ. Those who equivocate in the Christian community by advocating "prayer only" as opposed to "swift justice" are neither hot nor cold...just luke warm cowards...for they opt not to protect the most important of their following...their children.
Religiosity...a crock of "sheep"?
Recently, the German Bishop of the Catholic Church, Benedict, decried the existence of the Mafia in Sicily and before that, denounced Islam as a violent belief, but at the same time will not clean house in bringing justice for those victimized by the predators and pedophiles in his flock. Nor will he open the books on the Church's participation in Hitler's extermination campaign. Justice delayed is justice denied, not a religious tenet but a moral one.
The Georgian Bishop of the Baptist Church, Long, who demonstrated against homosexuality, but at the same time sublimates his apparent "perversion" as a predator or possibly a pedophile refuses to come clean with his following with the facts or non-facts as they may be.
I made mention of men before Benedict and Long as having divine missions, John Paul, II in his defeat of "totalitarianism" enslaving Christians and MLK, Jr. defeating "racism" and its enslavement of Christians, of which he gave his life...knowingly. These were two ordinary men with human weaknesses, but never did they allow those weaknesses to condemn or prey on those seeking the righteousness and salvation of "divine justice." Devils, on the other hand, are ordinary humans, but of duplicity, speaking with dual and most often opposing belief meters, also referred to as hypocrites or false prophets...which their believers or followers choose to close their eyes, until their ultimate destruction.
Like that "Christian Conservative, St. Ronald," who wisely advised..."trust but verify," I would urge the same of Christians in America, for the world is surely taking note.
America's Fate...to be decided by extremists?
Election 2010 is turning out to be a barn burner, with ideologues on both the right (fascist tendencies) and left (communist tendencies), when in fact the people elected to office will represent common sense individuals seeking what's best for our nation...I sincerely believe.
I don't support a religious right wing agenda such as that of the radical T-Baggers, nor that of a socialist left wing agenda via unlimited welfare either by unions or groups who refuse to be more independently productive, and instead rely on unearned personal income from the government and continual company bailouts.
I hear corporate capitalists, who seek only to profit without any personal sacrifice for the nation's welfare, only what they can personally gain. I also hear the trade unionists who want to continue to beat the hell out of businesses with their benefit packages as when America was globally dominant. That's not the case today...so, you need to back off and be willing to sacrifice more in the future.
If the ones running for political office fall victim to either of these extremes, they have only themselves to blame for a potentially devastating fate to what we all call home...as seen in a pre-Nazi Germany, a little over seventy years ago. Shall we be reminded?
All dressed up, educated, and no place to go
The problem in America is not education or the lack thereof, with the vast number of outlets for undergraduates and graduates as pointed out in a previous article, but how we're educating. We educate people to seek employment, instead of greater emphasis on creating employment with increasing entrepreneurial ventures, also cited earlier. It took me from 1979 until 2006 to get a correct, competitive paradigm for a successful business, that offers a very good income to those who are willing to abide by the model I established. http://infobuck.com/contact.html
Before getting my business off the ground, I had no capital and was made offers in which I would have lost control of my concept, let alone having to fend off potential poachers of the concept for their own business purposes...done without textbook education but street level common sense. Corporate crooks were coming out of the woodwork after I successfully fended off the corporation I worked for with my original concept.
After getting the business off the ground, I had to go through reams of red tape to establish legitimacy for my business of which I also explained. My solution to this nation's decreasing competitive global profile is not necessarily wider education, if we are simply training people for positions that may not exist, but instead, specializing the education to produce the entrepreneurs, who hopefully can create new concepts, and thus bring people aboard to expand the positions resulting thereof.
