Going green and lean demands self-discipline
From the book "How One Becomes Wealthy Despite Society's Ignorance and Stupidity":
"...Another factor about living in a free society is that we most often want everything at once, absolutely impossible. We want to be wealthy when we are poor without doing anything other than expecting a lucky break, like winning the lottery. Forget the real s**t like going to school to teach our ignorant asses. We want to be married with a family when we are single and bored. We want the ideal job and yet have enough time to spend with family and friends. We want to be able to work and party but without figuring out how to get proper rest. We want to be able to drink, smoke, eat anything and everything but have good health. We want to drive big f*****g SUVs without having to pay high gas prices; and I could go on and on with this list of spoiled, asinine, f**ked-up logic in how many of us misinterpret the sacrifices one must make to achieve worthwhile goals in life. You don't get completely out of the computer industry in this modern society, because virtually everything one does will involve computerization in one form or another. It dawned on me the potential to capture a niche in the market of computerization for my own business pursuits that I could share with others. A wealthy man by the name of Mr. Ford shared with me the wisdom I needed to accomplish this much. I asked him...Mr. Ford, if you could inform me of three things to become as wealthy as you are, what would you tell me? He said..."
Counting One's Blessing: A Quantitative Analysis
From the book "How One Becomes Wealthy Despite Society's Ignorance and Stupidity":
"...That's why it pays to count your blessings like you would count your money, maybe even more so. So the question becomes, what's keeping you from getting off your sorry ass and becoming a success in this land of plenty?"
How does one count one's blessing? I have been asked by many if I am rich as a result of owning my own business...the answer is always no and hopefully will always be no. I receive no monetary profits from my business but countless rewards of personal accomplishment. However, I am wealthier than ever before, and will go so far as to say I'm wealthier than one of the highest paid radio talk jockeys in America...His Lard Ass, Rush Limbaugh. I thought I would use him for my baseline comparison. You then determine who's wealthier.
Let's start with the counting and I should state unequivocally that I believe in the notion of a "Divine Force" within this Universe, that has interceded in my destiny more times than I have counted, for if not, I would have been a goner a long time ago.
It started years ago in my teens when I volunteered to go into the Navy, whereas, the general thinking was to stay away as far as possible from any branch of the military, because of Viet Nam. However, there was also a draft, whereby two of the guys from my stomping grounds were drafted, sent to Viet Nam, with one getting his legs blown off and the other wounded and was wheel chair bound. He drank himself to death. I on the other hand was sent to various Naval schools because of my education in grade and high school...a multi-million dollar educational trek while in the Navy.
Baseline Comparative: Rush Limbaugh never went into the military, but spoke to the "Boy Scouts" once of which I was also one as a kid.
Upon leaving the military, I was able to complete my collegiate studies at one of best Jesuit Colleges in the South, costly at my personal expense, but it has paid uncountable dividends from that point forward.
Baseline Comparative: Rush Limbaugh never could complete college despite being able to pay for it by his parents.
I was able to start my business with an original concept, had it documented in Federal court for posterity, and expanded it to the field that it currently serves. http://infobuck.com/index_1.html
Baseline Comparative: Rush Limbaugh has never been able to originate anything (to my knowledge) just parrots others and with altogether familiar, although subtle disparaging remarks for what he's unable to achieve.
I have been blessed to have been married only once, with sons and grands who seem to be healthy, intelligent, and most of all happy.
Baseline Comparative: Rush Limbaugh is trying marriage for the fourth time and is apparently "shooting blanks".
I am free to relax on days that I want, go where I please, buy what I need, and otherwise healthy and happy.
Baseline Comparative: Rush Limbaugh has enslaved himself to that "EIB Microphone" with a contractual obligation, that if he wants to continue to benefit from his finally becoming "rich"...he'd better continue to show up at least four days out of a week.
So, who's wealthier? I think I'll go for a drive and take in some of this beautiful, picturesque country side, on this crisp, clear, fall afternoon.
Speaking of talk jockeys...
I see that the right wingers want to see only "conservative constitutionalists" elected to offices, according to Mark Levin...the pesky night time right wing talk jockey. They don't want "representatives of the people" or their Congressional districts to have their needs serviced, but "strict constitutionalists," and I say poppycock.
What they really want, whether they call themselves conservatives, constitutionalists, Reaganites, ditto heads, Palin peons, or T-baggers is a second bite of the apple to really do what they have been wanting to do all along...that's to seize power and get the Constitution to do their bidding in their own manner for their benefit...not the people as a whole, but a privileged few.
It's called power lust and it's in all political ideologies from the left wing communists to the right wing capitalists...so, don't get suckered in, for the devil from within can be more destructive than the devil without.
Bring Back the Draft!
Back when I was a teenager, at the age of 17, all American males were required to report to their selctive service board to register...no questions. I, as I stated, volunteered for the U.S. Navy and for many who did not volunteer for some branch of the military, got drafted, if not deferred by political chicanery being that this was the beginning of the Viet Nam conflict...or either fleeing to Canada, if not claiming to be homosexual, or a Jehovah's Witness or Seventh Day Adventist, but still had to serve in some sort of military capacity. If not, off to Leavenworth.
In some cases, guys who got into "trouble" were given an option by the judge, go serve in the military or go to jail. With all the young people coming out of high school or possibly still in high school, if not a drop out, I think having to report to the military could be a viable solution to what's going on in our society today. It would reduce the future prison population of having to take care of these indolents for nothing contributed to the nation's safety, and reduce having to be concerned about making them eligible to vote again, which many don't do anyway.
What's the matter, too callous? Who are the real "pansies" in this "DADT" issue, the brave men and women who want to volunteer openly in the safety of our nation, or the "gang bangers" (male and female) preying on our society, and filling up prison cells on our dime with nothing in return? Therefore, all young people (male and female) should start reporting to newly established selective service boards, not at 17, but 14, given a right to vote along with a driver's permit, before falling to the wrong influence of a rapidly decaying civil society...our freedom as a civilized, western culture is at stake.
A Call for a Communication Update
I criticised Tavis Smiley, sometime back about his criticism of the President of the US not being "black enough" in addressing the issues of the black communities in America. Although, Tavis has shown himself to be one of the most intelligent and fluent interviewers of any host of subjects covering grounds far beyond the black communities of America, with continued interest as it pertains to those problems besieging the communities in particular, supports the validation that the President is the President of the US and not just the black communities, with much broader parameters.
Tavis, not too long ago, held a conference in which the old civil rights' hacks from the past including Louis Farrakhan came together with more criticism of the President, without presenting any solutions to which they themselves are bringing to the table; thus, self-serving limelight seekers at the expense of those who are suffering from a lack of clear, focused leadership.
This brings me to Tom Joyner and his radio talk show, of which he continues to provide a platform to the likes of Jesse Jackson, Sr. and Al (B. Conked) Sharpton, simply civil rights' con artists...feathering their beds from day one, of which Tom refuses to see and discontinue, which makes me wonder if Tom's part of the problem in the black communities continuing to suffer from this sort of misguidance? Tom has done an excellent job of providing increased incentives for young blacks going on to higher education with his hosts of sponsors, and with the intelligence and humor of some of his commentators such as Melanie Hopson and Huggy Lowdown...among others. However, it's time to "clip" these old, "religious" civil rights' hucksters of whom two I have cited...for religiosity is the problem, as unfolding throughout the east and western world.
When things get down and dirty...you have to go "street"
Article headline from "BlackAmerica.com": "Obama Determined to Stay on High Road"
This is what President Obama shared with the William Monroe Trotter Group, an organization of black columnists...in my estimation, a bunch of so-called educated Negroes, probably "golf-addicts" in a group named after Trotter, a virulent opposer of Booker T. Washington's methods of black empowerment after slavery. Today's results show what a failed philosophy by both Trotter and Dubois has wrought. Who's still the "brokest", most jobless, and most dependent native ethnic group in America today? In other words, if Obama doesn't go "street" in this election, he and his party are done, and not in a good way.
Let's see if I can broaden this analogy with a personal example of what I mean. One of my collegiate courses was "Constitutional History" taught by a professor, who sat at his desk and read "verbatim" from his text, that it took all I could just to stay awake. I went to the dean of history studies to seek being able to take this course as "independent study" because of my new "working" schedule; he granted it. However, in my last class session with the most boring professor to ever sit behind a college desk, I took him off track and said that it wasn't the constitutionalists that made this country viable, but people such as Francis Marion, who made it possible to have a "Constitution". With that I bid a salute before going "independent".
Who was Francis Marion? From Wikipedia:
Francis Marion, aka the Swamp Fox (c.1732-February 26, 1795) was a military officer who served in the American Revolutionary War. Acting with the Continental Army and South Carolina militia commission, he was a persistent adversary of the British in their occupation of South Carolina in 1780 and 1781, even after the Continental Army was driven out of the state. He is considered one of the fathers of modern guerilla warfare, and is credited in the lineage of the U.S. Army Rangers.
Lard Ass seeks to reap credit for T-Baggers
Again, Rush Limbaugh is a dyed in the wool racist hillbilly out of Missouri, who's been rejected again and again by the dynasty of conservatism birthed by Bill Buckley. The public sees him for what he is; thus, why he was denied access to the mainstream business society because of his polarizing background, that seems to emanate from racial profiling, while claiming that he knows "liberals" like every inch of his nakedly lard ass. Face it Limbaugh, you "ain't foolin'nobody"...a little hillbilly dialect.
Sometime back, he tried to use the new jargon he termed "Americanism", but it sounded too much like a code for racist nationalism...he decided to squash that within a week's time. His recent jargon is what he calls the "ascendancy of conservatism" which he claims is what the T-Baggers are all about. I see the T-Baggers although with their smattering of racists, kooks, extremists, et al, as representing the concerns of what most people see as discontent among what is essentially America's middle class. They, unfortunately believe that returning the Republicans to power will be the cure all...how quickly they forget when seeking an overnight solution.
Now, I know Rush Limbaugh deep down inside would like to see all niggers returned to fields of poverty, all wetbacks sent running back to Mexico or any place south of the border, all chinks, dagos, and kikes sent to wherever, so on and so forth. If you don't think this is true, let him challenge this critique. How am I able to make such a caustic assessment? I happen to be a nigger from Alabama, and know white folks like Rush Limbaugh from my over sixty years of living in mostly every part of this nation...which is my home, which is probably far more deserving than the likes of Limbaugh, considering my service in its behalf.
Wisdom from "Reverend Nutscutter"
Listening to the TJMS, Monday morning, "Reverend Nutscutter" snaked his way onto the show with a dose of "wiley coyoteism"..."there's more coffee in the pot than tea in the cup"...cute. With this election to take place November 2, 2010, truly a direction will be decided for the next two years of which more money has been spent this election cycle than any previously.
It will be interesting to weigh the factors from apathy to zeal, with the emphasis on money and who's doing the spending for the next two to six year terms of employment in the oldest game in town, fourth in line to prostitution, gambling, and religion...for politics contains an element of it all.
However, even more interesting will be in finding out who will carry the metaphor by "Reverend Nutscutter"...the coffee potters or the tea cuppers?
