The "Master Builders"
I often equate the lives of two men I most admire, by the results of their lives. Men from poverty and ignorance who would take virtually nothing and build tributes to enhance mankind's existence around the world.
Booker T. Washington came from Virginia and built today's Tuskegee University with no more than a few cents, but backed by the will of God...which became a "canaan land" for freed slaves across America. Elijah Muhammad, came out of Georgia, and built a business empire that was respected by the far regions of the earth...backed by that same divine will.
What both men had in common was a vision to bring their wisdom, knowledge and understanding to the great continent of Africa, in order to improve the lives of the native land. Elijah cited this in one of his "parables"...the "son" would rise in the west and settle in the east. Took years, but I think I understand the ultimate missions of both.
As with this newfound freedom which is emerging in the mideast for democracy and modernity, that mission is ever more pronounced for scientists, doctors, engineers, architects, teachers, and other "master builders" to undertake and support their goals, not as "missionaries" but as entrepreneurs...not as colonialists, but as partners building a better world for future generations.
As I set out with my business in healthcare technology, one of the goals is to recruit 144,000 competent consultants in all fields of human needs from janitors to neuro-surgeons, from carpenters to venture capitalists...bakers, butchers, and electricians, etc.

God and Religion...A Big Difference!
From the "BBC News Science & Environment" by Jason Palmer 3/22/11:
"A study using census data from nine countries shows that religion there is set for extinction, say researchers."
"The study found a steady rise in those claiming no religious affiliation. The team's mathematical model attempts to account for the interplay between the number of religious respondents and the social motives behind being one. The result, reported at the American Physical Society meeting in Dallas, US, indicates that religion will all but die out altogether in those countries. The team took census data stretching back as far as a century from countries in which the census queried religious affiliation: Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Switzerland."
Mo' money...Mo' money...Mo' Money!!
So, when does an individual have enough? The often misquote goes "money is the root of all evil," when I believe correctly it's the "love of money is the root of all evil." Money in and of itself has been found to be a very useful and covenient tool for goods and services enhancing mankind's survival and comfort... initially, a bartering concept.
The problem comes when greed gets into the equation, driving the lust for the stuff, accompanied by power to control and even enslave others with its use. Money is the common thread that links the maximum discontent in race, religion, and politics in our "capital-centric" society that we call America...our home and progress in the eyes of the rest of the world for almost a century or more.
So again, when is enough, enough to keep an individual content? How many people do we see in the news that are just so unhappy with their existence despite having bundles of the stuff at their disposal? I just read where a rapper is going to do a prison stretch for tax evasion amounting to over three million dollars? Does he regret having so much of the stuff that it's going to take three years of his freedom to have made it?
There are commercials about rich people, again more money than the average individual could spend in one or two lifetimes, if applying a moderate disposition in their consumption...losing his or her mental/physical health, or a loved one to sickness and disease that money alone could not provide a cure. Would they give that money up, if they could only save themselves or that loved one?
It is advisable that we consider the "optimum saving grace" in human society for happiness or contentment, which will never be found in having a lot of money, or the lust for it.
The Great Arabian Dilemma
Arab dictators betwixt and between...what do they do? I suggest all the ruling dictators of the various regimes come together and announce to the world that they will relinquish their hold over their people. They then should peacefully step down, willing to allow democratically elected citizens to take office, steering the new governmental entities into a future free of old, outdated religious customs for a society of civil justice within acceptable Islamic tradition.
Will they do this? Will snowballs freeze in hell?? Hell is what they are in and they are willing to carry their nations and people into it. Consequently, the only option may be for the west to cut its losses, by pulling out support for the region, willing to take the hit in fuel.
Black Liberation Theology...Bullsh*t at best
Today, I heard a blurb from Sean Hannity going on an on with this platform of "Black Liberation Theology" as promoted by Jeremiah Wright, of which the President has denounced Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and all other bullsh*t jacklegs claiming they have control of black America's thought processes. So to Sean Hannity, I say "Mic, Please"!!
Hannity's use of that old, tired argument to support his unfounded premise(as with the birthers), that the President is motivated by some sort of anti-white American sentiment, is as foolish as to say logically, that because Hannity is of Irish descent, and a Catholic, that he's been indoctrinated by "Papal Vatican Theology" inculcating a deep-seeded anti WASP sentiment...that Hannity camouflages with "conservatism." Consequently, I'm going to apply "birther" logic, creating a specious platform and deducing Hannity to be "black" Irish; therefore, I feel at liberty to say..."Nigger, Please"!!
Putting a price on a child's soul...can't be calculated
From Newsminer.com, submitted by Donna Gordon Blankenship 3-25-11:
The Jesuit order, called the Oregon Province of the Society was found guilty of sexual abuse of mostly Native American and Alaskan Native children. The order of priests agreed Friday to pay $166.1 million to approximately 450 victims with a written apology to the victims, as well as document disclosures.
The very Rev. Patrick Lee said the organization would not comment on the settlement because of bankruptcy proceedings. "The settlement is believed to be the Catholic Church's third largest in the sex abuse cases, behind the Los Angeles Diocese, which agreed to pay $660 million to 508 victims and the San Diego Diocese, which agreed to pay $198 million to 144 victims, according to the website BishopAccountability.org."
Right Wing Radio Talk Show Hosts...Just Plain Sickening
I have repeated any number ot times how these "bamboozling schlock promoters" represent the epitome of cowardice, but now they are just plain sickening. They take every opportune second to criticize the President on a personal level with ugly comments about his family to demonizing his faith and patriotism.
Today, "whiney-hiney Hannity" was at it again with his negative subjectives about the US actions in Libya as opposed to attacking or bombing every other dictator on the face of the earth from Syria, to the Sudan, to Zimbabwe, to North Korea, to Iran, which the Saudi dictators really wanted us to do for them...with their overthrow not too far down the line. Therefore, Mr. President, do as you are doing and let the destiny of the Middle East be decided by the people...as opposed to any unilateral action by the US.
Just before "whiney-hiney" there was "fat butt Limbaugh," who took the same, lame aim to shame the President, knowing that it's quite obvious these jokers just want to see any measure that would not cause the President to be as successful as he has been so far with getting multi-lateral cooperation from both Europe and the Mideast.
Tonight, I expect "nosey-gnome Levin" to continue with the harangue, and still I ask why don't these cowards run for the Presidential office, being that they have all the answers??...rhetorical.
Mobile, Alabama loses Carnival Cruise Line
The owners of Carnival Cruise Line told the mayor of Mobile, to do the math...they made a lot more money shipping out of New Orleans than Mobile. With Alabama's history...the "heart of Dixie" is there any wonder why the cruise line left the "port city" for the "crescent city"? Why is it that tourists are willing to pay much more to cruise out of New Orleans than paying much less to ship out of Mobile?
I, for one being a native of Mobile, Alabama, say it's not only the math but the overriding history that's a major obstacle. Just recently, the newly elected Governor of Alabama made some ridiculous, dumbass statement shortly after being elected, while visiting in the same black church in Montgomery, that was the focus point of the civil rights movement, that blacks had to docilely submit to accepting who and who was not saved according to his "redneck religious tenets."
He hurriedly tried to explain away this public fiasco with the world watching. Immediately afterwards, Alabama state's capitol had the Confederate Civil War celebrants waving "Confederate Battle Flags" emoting the "south will rise again" of which many tourists from up north, who are your major cruise line vacationers responding in kind..."yeah, crap floats." You would think these "redneck idiots" would realize by now that every time a person of color sees that "battle rag" they automatic visualize the days of slavery, whippings, lynchings and the KKK...and these people of color compose a major portion of vacationers taking cruises.
Therefore, the great portion of ticket buyers don't want to spend any time in "redneck Mobile, Alabama" when they can have a much more entertaining time before and after a cruise in the historically, multi-cultural New Orleans...even though more expensive. As a matter of fact, whenever I venture toward the Gulf Coast, I either choose to settle in New Orleans for the night or some where in Florida as opposed to my native home of Mobile, just to avoid the memories of past racial disparities.
The Deaths of Three Black American Messiahs
I call these men messiahs because of the message they were trying to deliver to this nation. Of course, there are numerous individuals worthy of being called martyrs for the sake of attempting to free Black Americans in mind, body, and spirit. Nonetheless, Black America remains enslaved in mind, body and spirit, despite whatever material gains black folks have individually made...and those gains come primarily from the world of entertainment, "sport and play" if you will. They will carry no long term merit of accomplisment sustaining future generations of black nor white America.
November 14, 1915, Booker T. Washington died at Tuskegee, AL and his death is now being reviewed as a potential homicide as featured in the Kindle E-Book "The Cult Conspiracy That Killed Booker T. Washington.
April 4, 1968 is the day that Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, TN.
February 26, 1975, Elijah Muhammad died in Chicago, IL.
If you were to do just minimal research about these men, you will find that the three were stressing the importance of economic freedom in securing true freedom of a formerly enslaved race in mind, body, and spirit...a message that white America was not altogether comfortable about when these messiahs were addressing black folks.
Today, resulting from traditional Christian teachings in black churches across America, the only ones seemingly freed as long as they continue with that "hereafter in the sky after you die spiel," were and are the pimp-smacking pastors...when I believe, society says "pimping" should be morally injust.
Black Social Academics...of little or no contribution to Black America
Manning Marable, well known black scholar and activist, died Friday, April 1, 2011 in the line of others that preceded him such as WEB Dubois, and others that will succeed him such as Thomas Sowell. As I mentioned in the above article there were "three messiahs" who either were killed or died but all three with noticeable results toward freeing Black America.
The difference between a messiah and an academic are the results of their message, of which very little can be found in the merit of academia (education for the sake of education) in terms of real or tangible progress in Black America.
This in no way attempts to denigrate Professor Manning's place in history or time. But as Ben Jealous praises Marable for his activism, likewise Ben Jealous who leads a movement, that initially established a sense of merit with its Legal Defense Fund, seemingly is becoming less active in terms of solutions or results from action. Of course, my latest contention is the work that Marable spent a couple decades, his re-writing the biography of Malcolm X as an individual offering some meaningful significance toward Black American progress...when in essence he didn't. Malcolm like so many false prophets before him, simply sought to personally elevate Malcolm as "the saviour" of the Black American race by taking the "Judas' path"...and history bears witness as to how his sojourn ended...and why it ended so abruptly.
"Niggers and Golf"...What's with this affliction?
As I referred to my uncle, retired from IBM, who eventually settled near Williamsburg, VA with a sprawling home on a golf course...caused me to seriously ponder this "dreaded disease" among the newly arrived "black middle class." His and my history were growing up in Mobile, AL where we used to go to a little segregated "dairy king" outlet for pineapple milk shakes. We were in spotting distance of the segregated golf course, where as close as we got to it was the swimming hole on its outskirts, within a few yards of the little black neighborhood called Carver's Court.
Today, you would think that this was his being in heaven just to walk the holes, I'd swear if I didn't know him any better, you would believe a country club was in his blood...whereas, I believe white America simply used the game as a ploy, like opium to get black folks' minds off the fact of really seeking their true heaven, and that's freedom in mind, body, and spirit.
Since Tiger Woods, niggers swear by this "walking sport" from Michael Jordan, Samuel L. Jackson, Will Smith, and even the "Prez" not to mention women where the black female senator for the district of Mobile, lists it as one of her favorite past times, including a former classmate of mine, a retired Walgreen's pharmacist, who likewise bought a home on the infamously segregated Skyline Country Club in "redneck Mobile."
I called an old buddy of mine, a former representative of America's Black Muslims, who had just suffered a heart attack...guess where? You got it...on the golf course. I just recently got off the phone with a relative of Booker T. Washington's about speaking on college campuses...guess where he was...on the golf course. Could the "white man" have schemed and said, instead of giving them just wine, women, and song...let's introduce them to the game of golf? Yes!! That should do it!
Republican Paring for 2012?
The Women: Bachmann vs Palin
The Governors: Pawlenty vs Romney
The Georgians: Gingrich vs Cain
The Southerners: Huckabee vs Barbour
The Con Men: Beck vs Trump
It's going to be a real horse race, determined by who can jockey the most dough in time just to get to the primary finish line.
"Backwood Political Bamas" Show Niggardliness
From the "Huntsville Times" by Bob Lowry: "Alabama House shouts 'No!' to temporary pay cut." (April 7, 2011)
"Montgomery--The Alabama House this morning shouted down a proposed resolution that would have rolled back legislative pay by 15 percent until Sept. 30.
The House refused to consider a resolution offered by Rep. Alvin Holmes, D-Montgomery, that would have tracked the 15 percent cut imposed by Gov. Robert Bentley on the General Fund budget for the rest of this fiscal year...
Holmes said it was only fair that legislators take a temporary pay cut because state employees are being laid off under the proration of the General Fund budget imposed last week."
