From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:  Hospitals, physician groups, ambulance services and other medical providers in Georgia and across country sell patients' unpaid bills to "debt buyers" for pennies in the dollar. As the volume of medical debt grows, health care providers are under increasing pressure to recover even a fraction of delinquent patient bills.

That's where debt buyers come in. They purchase overdue patient bills from health care providers and collect the debt themselves. They need only collect a portion of the debt to make a profit.

USDOJ, Tyler Perry, Barack Obama

Yesterday, (6-6-11) I received a telephone call from Michael Vaughn of the United States Attorney's Office in Roanoke, under the direction of US Assistant Attorney Timothy Heaphy, to send my request by mail only as to my meeting with Mr. Heaphy about my online training program for ex-offenders, not only to offer training but to hire immediately in spreading the word on healthcare services throughout the western district of Virginia. I was told specifically that I had to mail the request and if I brought it by in person, I would be accosted and arrested by US Marshals. I decided to e-mail the request instead being that I had delivered my program material in person on 6-2-11 just prior to meeting Gwen Mason at VA Cares. This meeting is discussed a couple of pages back under the subject "A Bloated Bureacracy Deals out Plums to Politicians" http://theroanoketribune.com/rich_text_57.html.  I have since submitted the story to "WSLS 10 Problem Solvers" to seek some resolution to this matter. I am also bringing it to the attention of Congressman Bob Goodlatte, who appears to be a "straight shooter" when it comes to his constituency.

Yesterday, I received a general e-mail from Tyler Perry of the "Madea Movies" whom I had been requesting information about a movie that I needed some helpful advice on how to get it off the ground, being that he claimed he was eager to help in a manner that people were not eager to help him in his quest. Never got a response to my request just e-mails asking people to see and support his movies. In this e-mail he told how people should "untie the rope" when other people are not helpful in their aspirations...good advice! I unsubscribed.

Likewise, I received an e-mail from Barack Obama's campaign asking for donations for this upcoming 2012 election bid. I took the advice rendered by Tyler Perry and decided to unsubscribe. I was asked why? My response was that the Obama Administration doesn't respond to my request and suggestions on increasing employment with so much as asking for details; yet, you consistently ask me for donations for this continued irrelevence? Today is a much better day with a brighter outlook, because I just got rid of some excess baggage by "untying the rope."

Religions and Revenue

I just tried to relocate an old business partner of mine back in Mobile, AL to promote and expand my healthcare business on the Gulf Coast. After doing some tracking on the net, I discovered that he'd started some sort of "urban ministry" that averaged revenue of $250,000.

There was no phone number for the business, so I thought I would contact Mobile's Office of Revenue to get one. Come to find out that they had no information on this "ministry" because they don't license religious organizations and don't collect any taxes. Now, I see why so many "jacklegs" get into the church business, it can be highly lucrative never having to report on the churches' income and disbursement.

Black America...The Buck Stops Here!!

The solution to what ails America and Black America in particular, will not be found in "escapism" be it "going back to Africa," entertainment, religious worship, or political "buck passing."

Black America, you are at the crossroads of either seizing control of your destiny or being vanquished by the failure to do so. It is now or never. Seizing that destiny means not continuing to rely on " other's gamesmanship" to solve your problems, be they preachers or politicians.

Seizing your destiny does not mean "non-participation" in America's political processes, but most importantly...and this can't be stressed enough...greater and more vibrant participation. You as a nation within a nation must absolutely have the spiritual desire to direct, defend, and if necessary, die in defense of the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as endowed by our God of the Universe... a God who "saw" eons ago to bestow it upon this nation with all of its turmoil, an example for peoples of the earth.

Black America...Up you mighty nation!! Accomplish what you will!!

Shovel Ready??

The only thing that appears to have been "shovel ready" is the "bs" coming out of the white house. Take it from one who supported you from the start, but has witnessed your morphing into another bureaucratic politician; surroundng yourself with charlatans like Al B. Conked as a spokesman to and for the black community.

This simply proved to me as to how out of touch you are with Black America and the everyday, pocket book,  light bill paying, beans on the table, gasoline using, job seeking Americans. I don't mean to be presumptous, but "my brother" your time card has been punched, and you and your administration will be evicted, lights out, and gates locked...for it's over for your party of jackass mule brains. 

Welcome to Eddie Long's "New Birth's Den of Sin" where the "baptismal pool" can double as a "sex spa" for the "unsuspecting sheep"...now, just outright "suckers."

Crooks of a Feather...Creflo Dollar supports Eddie Long in all of his perversity...in the name of whatever "god" they proclaim to worship.

"Bait and Switch" or the "Drop"

A video shows a woman waltzing up to Eddie Long of New Birth's "Den of Sin" in the midst of his sermon, and casually handed him a nine-inch stack of cash and calmly returns to her seat. The crowd goes crazy with applause as Eddie leads them on as it was some sort of miraculous accolade. As I said before, Eddie was in the car sales business where this sort of gimmick was used to fake out customers in convincing them to "do the deal".

This is also used in "tithing promos" in churches whereby the minister openly makes a large cash donation during collection, only to recoup it from the basket in his office. This only proves that Eddie's "den of sin" still has plenty of "pigeons" for the plucking. I would also say that woman was his "ploy" and that stack of cash may have had a $100 bill on top and bottom with a bunch of "ones" in the middle.

Our State of Perpetual Whiners

In expanding my business to meet the the burgeoning needs of the healthcare market, I decided to seek the assistance of those with the least chance of finding legitimate employment...ex-offenders. I even discovered that one of the temp agencies I use to recruit, would not hire them because of being ex-felons. Therefore, I devised my approach with the Dapartment of Justice to train and hire them within my business under a rigorously supervised program of their working with churches and church ministers,  monitoring their activities to insure their towing the line of re-entry into life outside of prison.

In my first workshop conducted in Mobile, AL...there were 50 people who signed on for my program. When doing the telephone follow-up...five had an incorrect phone number or no one knew them at the number reached...they lied...a big mistake in seeking employment.

I sent out the information packets to the 45 who had a correct phone number according to the adresses given. Ten packets were returned...no such address or party at the address given...the next screw-up in seeking employment or simply being on probation.

Of the remaining thirty-five that received information by mail, only five returned my calls for additional instructions, on where they would be receiving this online training at no charge to them, and how to proceed with implementation while waiting for future instructions.

Of the five, only two expressed the professional potential necessary to expand the program on the Gulf Coast, by making contact with the Department of Justice to explain who they were and the business they represented (my business), and how they would go about assisting other ex-offenders. The two called back a week later having made no contact with the DOJ, with one saying that this was something she just couldn't do and the other simply gave up without so much as an attempt.

I am back to square one in the Mobile area, but with the help of my Congressman for the Roanoke area and the western district of Virginia, I hope to see much better success with another batch of ex-offenders, even though they may not yet see those goals within themselves.  http://www.theroanoketribune.com/holiday.html 

The "Ripoff Ruse"

This is a problem in most if not all charitable organizations...be it your church (no independent monitoring of revenue), the Red Cross (found guilty of extravagant administrative costs), non-profits (going down the tubes for bad bookkeeping), civil rights' organizations (non-profits that survive with charitable donations, but really provide no empirical solutions to perennial community problems), or in my more immediate and latest confrontation with the local DOJ for hiring out of the blue, a former politician with little or no background in the field to the tune of $86,000 a year, who didn't know diddly squat about one of the intended programs for which she was hired.

My business in working with ex-offenders was prevented from making an in-person proposal to the local DOJ, when I pointed this out.

I am forced to seek legal recourse via inquiries as to how these organizations get away with these sorts of ripoffs... as I am currently doing with the South West Virginia Development Board.
